Who Knew

by Emma

Nobody believed her when she spoke,
Words jumbled,
softly,
Barely there, yet gone.
Nobody listened.

Nobody came when she cried,
Silent tears,
Burning,
Swim and sink.
Nobody heard.

Nobody watched as she hurt,
Heart breaking,
Piercing,
Amongst yet alone,
Nobody saw.

Nobody heard as she screamed,
Silent howls,
Deafening,
Loud yet mute,
Nobody asked.

Nobody saw when she fell,
Self soothing,
Rocking,
Vacant yet there,
Nobody came.

Nobody noticed when she left,
Not caring,
anguished,
faith already gone,
Nobody helped.

I write from perception. My career experience in mental health gives me vision, hope and comprehension. Nobody should ever feel alone.

The mind of a deep thinker…or complete rubbish…it is all down to interpretation and perception…
