Tear Drop

A splash of pure emotion,

Shimmering,

Fluid in form,

But vast in meaning,

A thousand words,

But silent,

A single splash against a contrasted form

The heated trickle,

Flow,

Slow and steady,

Hot,

Controlled yet conceded,

Brimming in entirety,

Emotive plenitude,

Idiosyncratic perception

Unified existence and a common share,

Yet elusive,

Distinctive,

A personal relationship,

A turbulent journey,

Diverse,

Pure and individual,

A single tear drop.

I wrote this poem after being inspired by my partner’s illustration. The intricacies of the sketch enhanced my own imagination and my own creativity. Inspiration is both fundamental and empowering to really feeling the emotion of life. To be inspired is to live and to live is to feel. Emotion needs to be owned and felt deep.
