Word Sex
by Emma
As I lazily scroll through the reader and find inspiration and share passion with fellow writers, I simply find myself enlightened and hopelessly in awe of the raw tranquillity of the words.
Word sex.
There is a deep and emotional satisfaction from creating a script. Whether this is poetry, opinion, fiction or written cognition. It is a personal experience and journey which erupts with pure ecstatic elation.
It is a hobby. A reasoning. A therapy. A vocation. Yet it begins and ends with true emotional purity. It belongs to each of us. It becomes us.
We devour it. Succumb to it. Taste it and feel it. It moulds us and we become fixated. Obsessed.
So whilst we continue to write…to think…to conceptualise.. we also continue our written arousal and reap the raw satisfaction again and again.
It is why we do it. Right?
The mind of a deep thinker…or complete rubbish…it is all down to interpretation and perception…
Precisely!!

love the essence of the article, but I was thinking of a different type of analogy in the place of ‘sex’ – – ‘conception’ perhaps. ‘Sex’ by definition ends in consummation taking the emotional build-up away in the end. However, ‘conceiving’ by definition is pro-genitive – – bringing forth and enabling an idea to grow to the next level. Just like how a fetus grows into a baby, the baby into toddler, then a teenager, then an adult and once again a progenitor.
Cheers!

Amen to the truth!
I remember writing totally inappropriate erotica while completely coincidentally sharing a couch at Starbucks with two characters who could have be taken directly off my page. Already flushed from the act of writing, I spent the whole time with my face in a full-on red cheeked blush. I just couldn’t believe it was happening and that the universe had brought so many worlds together at once. T’was awesome…. and we didn’t even need to use protection š

Erotica is simply another facet to knowing ourselves and embracing our entirety. I remember feeling shamed about my words then realised that only those who are not self realised would find them offensive. We are primal creatures and need the holistic angle to live and breathe freely. Words, Sex and all š
