Monday comes knocking

by Emma

It is that time again. Sunday night.

The time where we see Monday hovering on the horizon, and feel Saturday slipping away into oblivion. We can choose how we perceive this. In positive or negative stance.

Monday can be seen as a beginning, a freshness and an opportunity. It can also be viewed as irritation. A mere chore. Yet it will not be stopped, it is inevitable. Monday quietly whispers its intent, and it is up to you how you respond.

I used to hate Monday’s. It signified a long working week, an uphill battle of motivation and determination. Now I see it as the dawn of the week. It is another day to enjoy. A day to simply enjoy and be.

I love the weekends. I love the freedom. Monday does not take this away, it simply makes it better. It makes you appreciate the sweetness of the long days to come. It provides opportunity to prosper and to grow, and when the weekend comes bounding up, be ready for it, as it has been earnt. That, my friends, makes the taste of a Friday so much more flavoursome 🙂

The mind of a deep thinker…or complete rubbish…it is all down to interpretation and perception…
